Build your own gel chamber + power supply. Includes all components and instructions.
Everything you need to build a working gel electrophoresis setup:
- Acrylic gel tray and chamber (laser-cut, ready to assemble with included silicone sealant) - Platinum wire electrodes (2× 10 cm) - Boost converter module (3-32V input → 100-150V output, adjustable) - Banana plug connectors and leads - Gel combs (8-well and 12-well) - Assembly instructions with circuit diagram - Safety guide
You supply: a 12V DC power supply (any laptop charger works), agarose, and buffer.
Based on the our lab DIY gel chamber design — the same unit we use in our own lab. Total build time: ~1 hour.
Safety note: this produces 100-150V DC. Follow the safety guide carefully. The boost converter has a current limit that prevents dangerous shock, but respect the voltage.
