100 grams molecular biology grade agarose for gel electrophoresis. Low EEO (electroendosmosis) for clean DNA separation.
At 1% concentration (1 g per 100 mL buffer), this makes approximately 100 mini-gels. Good resolution for PCR products in the 200-2000 bp range — perfect for ITS, COI, and 16S amplicon verification.
Dissolve in 0.5× SB (sodium borate) buffer by microwaving in 30-second bursts until clear. Cool to ~55°C before pouring.
